Evidently, Lando Norris and F1 2019 game warmup laps, are not a match made in heaven. Last week at the ‘Not the Aus GP’, he accidentally jumped and overtook 11 drivers before realising his error. This time in Bahrain, he got taken out in Turn 1, along with another driver. With that, his car got promptly reset onto the grid and he was forced to wait for the pack.

According to the F1 2019 rules, if there is contact initiated on the formation lap, the cars involved get sent back to their grid slots. Of course, he also noted several drivers ‘Doing a Lando’ and overtaking several cars in the formation lap. Sadly, he had to wait agonisingly while the drivers completed the sighting lap.

Who all got involved in the Lando Norris collision?

Youtuber Tiametmarduk initiated the contact in his Red Bull. The McLaren driver then got pushed into the Racing Point car of TRL Limitless, and all three got sent to their grid slots. All in all, it was a hilarious race and Norris eventually finished Race 1 in 10th place and Race 2 in 7th.

On the final lap of the race, Norris had a bit of an adventure with an odd off before he rejoined. However, a couple of corners later, he crashed into the back of a fellow competitor and had to right his car before crossing the finish line. Norris’ race start was not so great as rivals bumped him  off the circuit and he dropped down the order.

The poor Briton got jostled around on the track. Though he did his level best to avoid further contact. Meanwhile, both races produced mixed results for the F1 drivers. Poor old Nico Hulkenberg missed out on yet another podium. Some of the Youtubers had a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to let him get the maiden podium, it was not to be.

The Hulk dropped like a stone and ended up outside the points. However, he is forgiven as he just bought the game and lacked experience. He also drove the 2019 Williams F1 car, which itself is a poor car.
