WATCH: Lewis Hamilton Spotted in Monaco Driving His Iconic Zonda

After having a rollercoaster of a race in Hungary this past weekend. Lewis Hamilton was back in Monaco where he resides. The 7-time world champion will be looking forward to summer break before he heads off to Spa for the Belgium GP at the end of the month.

Fans in Monaco were extremely happy to see the Mercedes driver and were constantly taking pictures of him as he was escorted by security. The Brit got into his customized Zonda supercar and drove into the night.

Lewis Hamilton returns to Monaco after the Hungarian GP

The Knight was seen at the prestigious Monaco harbor surrounded by security. Nevertheless, Hamilton acknowledged the fans that were waiting to get a glimpse of him, by waving at them.

The 7-times world champion had his Zonda 760 LH waiting for him. Fans even clicked pictures of his supercar as it is a rare one to spot. Just a few minutes later, Lewis was seen driving away from the famous Monaco F1 tunnel.

The number 44 driver is known for his speed behind the wheel. However, as he was driving around the streets of Monte Carlo, Lewis decided to cruise instead of pushing the limits of his car.

How did Lewis Hamilton’s weekend in Budapest go?

Hamilton hoped to bag another win for the Silver Arrows as he was preparing for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Starting on pole position for lights out, gave the Brit some hope. However, as they headed in turn one carnage ensued.

Four drivers were knocked, including his teammate, Valtteri Bottas. When the race was about to restart, every driver except Hamilton pitted to change their intermediate tires. However, this decision proved to be disastrous as the track dried up, Hamilton was struggling to keep pace and a lap later he came back in the garage to replace his tires.

The Knight soon found himself to be at the back of the pack, as he zipped around the Hungaroring. However, Hamilton’s perseverance helped him battle his way up and grab a third-place finish. But, it didn’t end there as Sebastian Vettel was disqualified, this saw Lewis inherit second place.

As the summer break has just begun, Lewis will hope to achieve a better result at Spa for the Belgium GP. He would like to return to his winning ways, which would see him extend his lead in the title race.
