Yuki Tsunoda is one of Formula 1’s brightest young talents. At the age of 21, he has shown immense potential at AlphaTauri. Aside from that, he is greatly known for his aggressive comments on the team radio while on track.
However, more often than not, he is mocked by the other F1 drivers for this height, as he is the shortest driver on the grid. It is Max Verstappen who became the most recent driver to taunt Tsunoda for his height ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen makes a joke at Tsunoda’s expense

The 2021 World Champion secured the pole in the wet conditions on Friday. The P1 result clearly satisfied the Dutchman after a disappointing result in Australia. And he also had the time to make a joke at the expense AlphaTauri driver, Yuki Tsunoda.
While the Dutchman was about to give his views on the qualifying session, he noticed the microphone was placed below his waist. So he jokingly said, “is this for Yuki or what is this?”

F1 fans will also remember the time when Esteban Ocon poked fun at Tsunoda during the 2021 Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend. After Tsunoda gave his post-race interview, Ocon followed him. And the Frenchman could not resist, as he squatted down to the lowly placed microphone without adjusting it.

Max Verstappen expresses his satisfaction after securing pole position
The reigning world champion has certainly bounced back after a poor result in Australia. Verstappen showed his craft and secured the pole position for the sprint race. In the post-qualifying interview, he revealed the conditions were tough and, as a result, he is content with his performance on Friday.

He said, “It was good out there today but also very easy to make mistakes, so luckily we mainly stayed out of trouble. We started on the slicks initially and then it started raining again, making the right call on how you wanted to prep your laps was key today and ultimately we chose the right one, so I’m of course very pleased with that.”

With blue skies and a dry track predicted for Saturday’s sprint race, Verstappen will look to score the maximum points possible. The front row battle between him and championship leader Charles Leclerc will be exciting, to say the least, as both the drivers will look to come out on top.
