Lewis Hamilton is having a rough season. In four races, he has only managed to score 28 points. However, fellow countryman Lando Norris still has faith in the veteran English driver that he’ll bounce back.

The seven-time world champion is nowhere near the 2022 championship leader Charles Leclerc, who is dominating the ongoing season. Moreover, Hamilton’s new teammate and countryman George Russell has outperformed him in 3 out of the last four races.

But McLaren driver Norris refuses to accept that the 2022 championship run is over for Hamilton. He believes Hamilton will make a comeback, and the fight between him and Russell will get more competitive. Norris reported, “I don’t believe he is because he is too talented and has too much skill.”

He further states how hard it would be for Hamilton to lose to a young teammate. “So, that makes it look like a bigger gap than there is because George is doing a very good job.” Norris further reported, “Of course, you never want to lose to your team-mate and even more so when you are a seven-time world champion.”

“It must be a change for him, from driving the nicest car, one where you can be quick, and now having to think about things just a little bit more,” Norris reported. “When you are half a second up, you can afford to skip over things because you can win no matter what, but you cannot get away with that when you are fighting for 10th, 12th, or 15th.”
