Williams and Hamilton have been friends for quite some time now. Often seen hanging out together, each other’s tremendous achievements inspire them.
Lewis Hamilton faces some pushback
Lewis Hamilton’s legendary racing career has not limited him to just F1 cars. The British racer is an ardent football fan and has reportedly played with several teams as a young kid. He did not pledge his allegiance to any one club for the longest time. However, after a severe influence from sister Samantha, Hamilton did believe that the Arsene Wenger lead Arsenal was his calling.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict found Chelsea club owner Roman Abramovich in troubled waters. Unfortunately, in a quick turn of events, he had to put up the club for sale. Sir Martin Broughton, Steve Pagliuca and Todd Boehly are currently part of individual consortiums to buy the club.

Meanwhile, the Billion Dollar Man has left many in shock after his requests to buy rival team Chelsea surfaced. However, the 37-YO Brit racer’s previous confessions of being an Arsenal fan did not sit well with the former Chelsea winger Paul Canoville. In a social media post, he presented his views.

The winger raised his doubts against Hamilton and Serena. Clearly not happy about their sudden party change, he said, “I feel this is disrespectful of our own supporter base. Serena is on record saying she supports Real Madrid and while I know Lewis has now suggested he was bullied into supporting Arsenal by his sister, Lewis is an Arsenal fan and that’s a fact.” We hear you Paul!

The 60-YO did, however, praised both the icons and said, “I will always support Lewis in everything he does in F1, he is the greatest driver ever in my opinion. And, as with Serena, he is a phenomenal icon.” On the other hand, Boehly’s bid impressed Paul, and he claimed how his “huge passion for social impact around community outreach” is noteworthy.
This bid is turning out to be interesting after all! Who ultimately buys Chelsea is definitely going to be a fun ride. Sir Hamilton, meanwhile, will look forward to the Miami GP scheduled for May 8-10. His current season is proving to be a bit of a nuisance. Mercedes W13 is failing to unlock the true pace and potential it was intended for.
