Former Dallas Cowboys Wideout Dez Bryant Reveals Retirement Plans

The Jerry Jones-owned Dallas Cowboys drafted promising wide receiver Dez Bryant in the 1st round (24th overall) back in 2010.

He went on to establish himself as one of the top offensive wideouts in the league last decade. He parted with the NFC East big boys in 2017 after dealing with some injuries.

Following a short stint with the New Orleans Saints in 2018, Dez Bryant returned to the NFL last year with John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens outfit.

Bryant ended the 2020 regular season with 6 receptions for 47 yards and 2 touchdowns. With his future a hot topic for speculation, Bryant has now given NFL aficionados some insight as to when he plans to hang up his boots.

In a recent Q&A session with fans on Twitter, Dez Bryant got candid with some questions regarding his future. When asked about a potential retirement date, the 31-year-old wide receiver responded by saying that he plans to play for ‘2 more years’ before calling time on what has been a distinguished career in the NFL.

The 3-time Pro Bowler wore the famous #88 Dallas Cowboys jersey during his time in Texas. It was previously worn by NFL HOFer Michael Irvin, and franchise legend Drew Pearson. In 99 league starts, Bryant has 7,506 receiving yards and 75 touchdowns to his name.
