Even before its start, the 2021 season is looking a bit messed up. While the Australian Open is having a tough time settling its schedule, some are confident with the Wimbledon which is scheduled later in June 2021. The organizers and fans of the oldest Grand Slam tournament would love a spectacular comeback of the event which couldn’t take place in 2020.
Former Grand Slam finalist, Greg Rusedski is very confident about Wimbledon. With many countries making good progress over the COVID-19 vaccine he reckons by June, Wimbledon could host the Grand Slam with the fans in attendance.

“From my point of view, I think next year we will have Wimbledon. With the vaccines and all the tests that are going on, it is very likely that if everything continues like this, we can hold the tournament,” Rusedski said.
Could Wimbledon Championships 2021 have spectators?
Rusedski’s optimism is high and if the situation approves he considers Wimbledon having spectators as well.
“There are still six or seven months left, that gives us time. There are even possibilities that we may have spectators in the stands. I am very optimistic that the tournament will be played next year, but a series of measures will have to be respected.”
