The French National football team pulled off an emphatic victory to defeat Croatia in the 2018 World Cup final. The match had everything, drama, own goals, embarrassing gaffes, penalty goals, you name it. In the end, Les Bleus defeated Croatia 4-2 with goals from Griezmann, Pogba and Mbappe. Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic also scored, along with Mandzukic’s unfortunate own goal in the early stages.

Fortunately for the Croats, the French committed a howler of their own. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris failed to clear the ball and Mandzukic redeemed himself somewhat. But it came too late as they were unable to close the gap to the Blues. Mbappe became the second youngest player to score in a World Cup final after Pele.

With this emphatic victory, one can be sure that the French will be picking up where they left off for the French National Day. Here is how Twitter reacted to the World Cup Final.
