Felix Auger-Aliassime has already proven himself a player for the future. His rise in the sport has been phenomenal, especially for someone so young. What already sets him apart is the fact that he is more than just a talented player- he is also a very decent human being.

The sport of tennis can be lucrative like nothing else for successful players. Felix Auger-Aliassime is just about starting on his journey in tennis, and yet he is already making some serious money. Of course, you don’t simply get the money, you have to work for it, and work hard.

So what does a teenager like Felix Auger-Aliassime think about making such huge amounts of money?

“Of course, earnings are something that gives you personal freedom, a comfort for yourself and your family. But it’s also there to help others.”

It’s easy to just say you want to help others, but how many really do it? Well, Felix has already started the process of giving back to society. Back in February, Felix announced a program in his name on twitter.

The Canadian will donate $5 behind every point that he wins during the season. The amount amassed will then be contributed towards educating children and young people in the nation of Togo.

That is a noble cause indeed from the young player. It speaks volumes towards his humanity.

The one issue was that the Tour stands suspended at the moment due to the health crisis around the planet. The suspension would have eaten up a chunk of the potential amount Felix would have donated otherwise.

Worry not, Felix and his team came up with a solution for that too.

He will simply replace all the canceled events with the 2019 editions of the tournaments.

The tennis manager at the BNP Paribas bank, Vincent-Baptise Closon, was delighted to partner up with Felix.

“We were also thinking of a project like this, saying that we would like to do it with someone who shares the same values as us. It’s pretty incredible how we met someone who shared the same desires, the same vision, at the same time.”

And if you thought Felix could not possibly get more endearing, he had this to say.

“It’s not that my career wouldn’t have made sense without this project, it’s just that it takes it to another level. It gives a lot more meaning to what I do on the court.”

Now, this is a champion of the people in the making and hopefully a champion on the courts soon as well.
