Charles Barkley Confident of Beating Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player Under One Condition

Over the course of their careers, or even after retirement, athletes tend to pick up golf as a hobby. While some are really good at it, some struggle to shoot a good round, even after years of practice. This includes retired NBA icon and analyst Charles Barkley, whose game seems to have undergone a significant transformation.

For some months, Barkley has been speaking in interviews about his golf handicap and swing improving.

Now, in 2022, Barkley seems ready to take on some golf legends.

Charles Barkley challenges golf legends to a matchup

During a recent interview with PGA Tour radio, Barkley reiterated his point about becoming a better player. And by the looks of it, he cannot wait to prove it to someone.

“You give me a shot a hole. You, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Xander Shcauffele, and Tony Finau, I want all of ya’ll give me a shot a hole, except for par-3s,” Barkley said while speaking to Colt Knost. “I want all that smoke from you guys.”

Additionally, he even spoke about playing really well now, which is making him eager to face Knost again.

Barkley on his improved swing

“Playing really well. Put a lot of time and effort into this. I’ve been banging balls six to eight hours a day for the last year basically,” Barkley added in an earlier interview. Of course, people continued to have a little trouble believing him.

He even credited some of his improvement to Stan Utley, who apparently gave him a lot of confidence.

Furthermore, Barkley also spoke about his handicap while on the Dan Patrick Show. As per the 59-year-old, he is back with a vengeance and is ready to prove himself again.
