LIV Golf has had many individuals advocate for them in their battle against the PGA Tour. Among those, one of the most outspoken is the former POTUS, Donald Trump. The ex-President’s closeness with the Tour and its executives has been quite noticeable from the beginning. But recently a revelation about Trump’s involvement in the LIV 2023 season came to light, leaving the golf world unsure of how to feel about it.

Trump shares a close bond with LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman too. He has been quite open about his support towards the breakaway series and in its inaugural season too played a big role in its functioning. This season sees him even more involved with them.

The golf world didn’t know what to feel about the news. The only emotion shared by all was that they were unsurprised. “Just rename it the Trump tour,” commented one fan. And another wrote, “I’m surprised there weren’t more.”

The PGA Tour Loyalists also chimed in, stating that the Saudi-backed league and Trump were “perfect for each other.” One fan wrote, “Trump and LIV are a match made in hell.”

Some fans just didn’t care about the news. They furiously lashed out, saying the writers could “do better” and that they didn’t care “who the owner is of a golf course for a tournament.”

Are you not surprised either, with the former President being part of the new season of the breakaway league?

The final event takes place in the first week of November. The players will head to the league’s home country, Saudi Arabia, where Royal Greens & Country Club in Jeddah will host the team championship. Thanks to LIV’s recently signed broadcasting deal with CW, the fans will be able to watch all 14 events on their network.
