The GOAT Annika Sorenstam is becoming headlines after her shot at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. She is back in the field and plays as a celebrity at the tournament. The LPGA legend is a mother of two who retired from professional golf in 2008. God blessed her with an excellent life partner, Mike McGee, who is very observant. The couple exchanged vows in 2009, four weeks after she left the sport. The pro had her own rough phases to cross, but thankfully she had the support of her loved one.
However, she is in the field with her husband in the bag. And she couldn’t be happier to have her whole family supporting her at the tournament. The cherry on the cake is that she is back home. It was Sorenstam’s home course, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, where she and her family spend most of the year. However, one could feel the competitive spirit brewing before she scored 39 Stableford points to win the celebrity division on Thursday.
Sorenstam finds herself very lucky to have a supportive partner as her husband. During her latest interview, she candidly revealed how her husband was proud of her after a huge milestone.

Annika Sorenstam is her husband’s superstar
The legendary golfer talked about her round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Sorenstam didn’t even realize that she had reached a milestone. Thankfully, her husband pointed it out, which pleased her. The golfer was so lost in playing that she overlooked the results of her great shot. She said, “Mike told me after I finished, it was the first non-bogey in a long time, which wasn’t on my mind, but I am obviously very pleased to play here without a bogey.” She was happy with her performance.

Even though she had a rocky start, she is now back in her form. She believes more and more shots are on the way. “I’m happy. I got off to a little shaky start but made some good putts on the first hole and the second hole, and the third,” said the greatest golfer of all time. She took some time to settle down; however, it all went well, and she eventually settled down. “I found the rhythm a little bit more and was enjoying being out there and kind of settling down and feeling more comfortable, then hit some really good shots coming in.”
