But the cost of playing the event and traveling is borne by the golfer himself, and it can be tough to earn when they aren’t playing well and missing cuts. Moreover, Bryson DeChambeau spoke about the same last year and revealed the struggles of finishing low on the money list.

Back in 2021, DeChambeau explained how a golfer can face immense financial struggles owing to the pressure of playing on tour. Moreover, DeChambeau gave his opinions about how all the Tour players are individual contractors, and they have to take care of all the expenses and feed their families on their own.

Bryson added, “You think it’s great (on Tour), but once you start getting into the nitty-gritty and it’s your livelihood, it’s a very interesting scenario.” Moreover, DeChambeau’s words prove how much tough it is to survive on the Tour when a professional is not playing well. At the same time, it also shows what a player has to go through while playing on probably one of the best Tours in the world. Is Bryson right?

How did DeChambeau play at the 2022 Masters?

The American professional did not play well at the 2022 Masters and did not finish as expected. He ended the first major championship event of the year with an overall score of 12-over-par. DeChambeau did not manage to make the cut and could not compete at Augusta National heading into the weekend. Moreover, he carded a second round of eight-over-par, 80, to miss the cut by a whopping eight shots.
