The GolfDigest writer, Dan Rapaport, recently took to Twitter to express that his gut feeling says Rory will take home the trophy this time. “Not a big pick guy but I have a strangely strong feeling that Rory McIlroy wins the golf tournament this week.”

The golf world has mixed feelings about this. Some fans feel if the 33-year-old improves his game a bit, there is a chance he might be one of the contenders. On the other hand, some fans are rooting for other golf legends to win.

Scottie Scheffler is expected to turn up the heat on the greens and show his true colors at TPC Sawgrass, despite any past struggles. Coming off a solid fourth-place finish in his last tournament, he’s primed for a comeback.

Moreover, Max Homa is also one to watch, with a solid third-place ranking from the experts. Meanwhile, the current OWGR leader Jon Rahm is ranked fourth on the list of favorites. Furthermore, Cameron Smith won’t be there to defend his title this year because of his move to LIV Golf.
