Golf Course Owned By Donald Trump to Host $50M Series Finale of Greg Norman Backed LIV Series: Report

The final tournament of the Saudi golf tour, which is a Team Championship, will take place from the 28th to the 30th of October. Notably, it will be played at the Trump National golf club in Doral, Miami. Not long ago, the venue was hosting a World Golf Championship, before it was stripped of the accolade by the PGA Tour.
Throughout the eight events of the Saudi-backed tour, there is $250 million up for grabs. And one of Donald Trump’s golf clubs, namely Trump National Golf Club Bedminister, is the host of the third event of the series.

Saudi Golf Tour’s final event to take place at Trump National golf club
The eight events series will cover a prize purse of $250-million, along with a final tournament from 28th-30th October; this will have a team format. As of now, sources state that six DP World Tour players have contacted the HQ at Wentworth to seek permission to sign up for the series. Currently, there is one American and six Europeans wanting to compete in the Saudi-backed tour.

Saudi-backed golf tour is certainly at its best equipped with internal resources like monetary resources. More so in terms of an ambassador Greg Norman, who is a multiple-time major winner and a former World No. 1, as the face of LIV Golf.
Reports also state tell that the European tour has issued a plea to the players to stick to the status quo. Those shifting tours will jeopardize the future of the tour and will affect the heritage events. The PGA Tour and the DP World Tour (European tour) are not friendly with the Saudi-backed tour and view it as a rival tour. However, it seems the Saudi tour is not bothered by it and is a very powerful entity, in contrast.
