Introduced to golf around the mere age of two by his father, he was considered a child prodigy. At the age of three, he shot a 48 over nine holes, and aged five; he had featured on the Golf Digest magazine.

Tiger Woods had a glittering amateur career
At only 15 years of age, Woods became the youngest U.S. Junior Amateur champion. This record stood until Jim Liu broke it in 2010. In 1992, Woods defended his title at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and even played his first PGA Tour event.
In a recording-breaking feat, he won his third championship title in 1993 and is, to date, the event’s only three-time winner.
