Spanish Pro Golfer Jon Rahm is currently playing in the U.S. Open. The former World No. 1 has numerous records under his name. The golfer is a loyal player of the PGA Tour and recently shared his love for the tour in an interview.

The U.S. Open has allowed players from all formats and tours to participate. Rahm, being from the PGA Tour, showed up in the first round. The game went well till 17 holes, but suddenly something funny and surprising happened.

In the U.S. Open Press Conference after the first round, the interviewer asked Rahm about the incident that took place on the 18th hole. The golfer shared that two kids came up and stole his ball from the said hole. Rahm also said that he remembers the faces of those kids and can easily recognize them.

The people in the room laughed at Rahm’s humorous way of stating the incident. He said, “I’m pretty sure I know who it was, like, I recognized the two kids that were running the opposite way with a smile on their face. I am 100 percent sure I saw the two kids that stole it,”

Rahm finished at 1-under 69

Rahm was given a free drop after the ball stealth and hit the ball to 21 feet in his second shot. He said he was happy someone had seen the ball first. The golfer shared that there were a lot of trees ahead, and so he tried to hit over all of them. Rahm also said that he hit the ball where no one would have expected him to.

The 27-year-old Spaniard had beautifully hit the ball before the final holes. He also mentioned that he “skanked” about five iron shots due to the crosswinds on the course. “I didn’t really realize how close I came. I fully know how lucky I got on that hole,” he said after escaping with a par at 17th.

Rahm finished the first day with a 1-under 69. Jon won last year’s U.S. Open which was played at Torrey Pines. This will be the second consecutive win for him if he makes it to the title this year.
