The FedEx Cup is a championship trophy for the PGA tour, played throughout the year to collect points for the ultimate prize. As one of the most sought-after trophies, the intense competition commences at the beginning of the year. And if this wasn’t already exciting enough, Kevin Na has a strategy in mind, which honestly makes it sound even cooler!

The winner of the Augusta Masters, one of the most coveted tournaments in golf history, in addition to the million-dollar prize money, gets presented with a prestigious green jacket. Similarly, in an appearance on SiriusXM radio alongside Jason Kokrak, Kevin suggested an idea for the FedEx Cup winner. Here’s what he said!

Kevin Na has a major suggestion for the FedEx Cup

While talking about the FedEx Cup, the 5-time winner on the PGA tour gave his inputs on how to make it more interesting. He said, “You know what the FedEx cup should do is give a gold jacket.”

Further, he went on to talk about the ranking money each player gets and recounting a tale from last year, he said, “I actually looked before the week started and I double checked Saturday night because I was fourth going into Sunday. And I was paired with Justin Thomas and I was like ‘win, was a little bit out of reach.‘”

“And I was like, ‘man if I can improve one spot, let’s see what the payout difference was’- and it was a million dollar difference! It was $4 million for third and $3 million for fourth. And I was like, ‘man, I gotta just beat one guy and I’m gonna make a million? This is worth it! Let’s go grind!'” And grind he did! Cause at the end of the year, he beat JT and climbed a spot to the third one, successfully bagging $4 million!
