The LIV Golf Invitational Series is gaining more attention as each day passes. But the bold move taken by the PGA Tour recently may trouble the professionals who are thinking of playing in the opening event. Moreover, Greg Norman, the main character behind the rival tour, spoke a few words, which can provide solace to the professionals.

Greg Norman has an assuring message for professionals

The two-time major championship winner reacted to the denials sent by the PGA Tour to the professionals. They sent rejections to players who had requested a release on Tuesday afternoon to play in the opening event of the LIV Golf Invitational Series. Moreover, Norman spoke about the same and reassured the professionals about playing the first event of the Saudi-backed golf league at Centurion Club starting in June, who fear a lifetime ban from the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.

The Australian professional spoke about the same a few days ago. He talked about how the LIV Golf Invitation Series has got the backs of the professionals thinking of playing on the alternative tour. At the same time, he disclosed his strategy regarding how they will help the players. Professionals like Phil Mickelson also asked for a release to play in the opening event.

Norman added, “It’s going to be your choice, but if you decide to come here, we’ve got your back. We’ll defend you, we’ll reimburse you and we’ll represent you if you want to go down the legal route.”Moreover, the world will give some respite to professionals who fear a drastic step from the other two major tours. However, only time will tell whether the words of assurance will help bring more players on to the rival tour or whether the PGA Tour’s bold move poses a massive problem for the LIV Golf Invitational.
