February 23, 2021, can be considered the black day in the world of golf as one of the greatest of all time, Tiger Woods, got into a terrible accident that day. Presently, he is playing on the PGA Tour events after a year since that incident. However, the golfer had to go through intense pain to get back on his legs and walk normally.

As a close acquaintance of Tiger Woods, the Tour player Justin Thomas had seen him when he was still bedridden. And finally, when the 15-time major winner made a comeback at the Masters last month, the 29-year-old was nothing but excited about it.

“It was awesome,” Thomas said to the reporters at the press meet before the 2022 PGA Championship. “I was happy for him.” The 2017 champion of the event explained that although Tiger looks fine now, it was hard for him to be able to play on a course again.

“His team has done an unbelievable job making it as easy as they can for him,” JT added.

The 2022 Masters Tournament was the first time, since his accident, Woods had played in an official tournament. As he was still not completely recovered from the injuries, nobody expected him to do well at the Augusta National. However, he beat all the odds and finished all rounds.

The best part of the event was just that Tiger walked all the 18-holes at the Augusta. The 7510-yd golf course is not easy to cover since there are a lot of steep hills throughout the course. Even the fittest golfer on the Tour would consider it a task to just walk there. Yet, Tiger made it possible.

“He’s not a normal person,” JT stated. “If he needs to have two or three sessions a day to have a potential being ready a week earlier, he’s going to do that,” Thomas further added. “…whereas a lot of people, they don’t really make it a priority.”

After the accident, many in the golf world thought it would be better for Tiger to retire. However, the golfer didn’t stop trying and made a successful comeback. Presently, he is at the Southern Hills to participate in the PGA Championship.
