As good as his 2021 was, Phil Mickelson’s 2022 might be off to a rocky start. The 51-year-old has also been good while on the PGA TOUR Champions, securing three wins out of the four events he played. While Mickelson’s performance might have declined slightly, it looks like the PGA Tour icon is determined to make the most of the situation.

Irrespective of the result, Mickelson is known to be his charming self, clearly never backing down from any challenge.

Recently, Mickelson missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. Of course, Mickelson chose to address the incident himself.

Including the Insurance Open, Mickelson has missed the cut twice in a row. As a result, Mickelson chose to talk to fans and discuss his performance. Not only did Mickelson’s words provide an insight into the game, but they also gave fans something to discuss a few things. Mickelson, however, chose to be honest with his followers about the same.

“The biggest challenge to getting better at anything is learning to love the plateaus. It’s hard to be patient and deal with a decline in performance while waiting for it to click,” he wrote. “No one else will see your progress but YOU WILL and you’ll know when you’re ready.”
