Fans are eager to watch the golf star back in action in professional tournaments. However, his injuries are making it hard for him to return to his best form. And so, he has to be very selective about the tournaments that he decides to play in. Fans see this as something that could adversely affect the golfer’s image. But contrary to common belief, playing at selective events could actually make Woods an even bigger star in 2023.

In an interview after a tournament in 2022, Woods gave his fans a little insight into his plans for his future. “The goal is to play just the Major Championships and maybe one or two more. That’s it. I mean, physically that’s all I can do,” he claimed. But despite his claims to play all four majors, fans are not ready to believe him due to his recent performances.

Not to forget, it is nothing new for the golf ace to surprise his fans by making massive, record-breaking comebacks. After all, golf enthusiasts will always remember the way Woods made the cut at the Masters and Augusta National. Woods tried playing at the PGA Championship recently but had to withdraw after shooting 79. Later, he skipped playing in the US Open to take some time off and prepare for the Open. But unfortunately, he missed the cut at the tournament.

If Woods is planning to appear at all four major championships, fans will get to see him at The Masters: Augusta National (April 6-9), the PGA Championship: Oak Hill (May 18-21), the US Open: LA Country Club (June 15-18), and then at The Open Championship: Royal Liverpool July (20-23).

Other than the majors, Woods is definitely going to turn up at the Genesis Invitational Riviera – Riviera (February 16-19). His TGR Foundation is the main charity and he is going to be the host of the tournament. On the other hand, he might miss the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March as it ends only a few days before the Players Championship begins. And as far as we think, Woods won’t miss The Players.

The 15x major winner might also appear on the field at The Memorial in June. Given his relationship with Jack Nicklaus and the tournament being a warm-up for him for the US Open, Woods might consider turning up.
