Tiger Woods, a 15-time major championship winner, a member of the World Golf Hall of fame, and an 82-time winner on the PGA Tour, surprisingly, stated his opinion about his own legacy. Notably, he had an exciting view about how he wanted to be remembered.

In every sport, the greatest players leave behind a legacy, which continues even when the professionals retire. Tiger has built a legacy as well as a big name for himself in the sport of golf. Tiger Woods speaks about his idea on legacy

Tiger spoke to the Time on his 40th birthday about what he feels about his legacy. Surprisingly, Woods gave a unique perspective about how he wants to be remembered.

He said, “The greatest thing that could happen is to not be remembered. What I mean by that is, the kids right now, they don’t know that Michael Jordan played. They see a Jumpman [logo] and they think, that’s so cool.”

He added, “My learning center, kids go through it and they don’t know who I am. They don’t know what I’ve done. But it’s a safe haven for them to learn and grow.” 

Well, this is what makes Tiger so unique and arguably one of the greatest of all time. It is humility even after achieving so much throughout his career. He is a true champion.

Woods comeback to golf

Tiger made probably one of the greatest comebacks in the sport of golf at the 2021 PNC Championship. Woods suffered an injury in his right leg in an accident in February last year. He appeared in the event along with his son Charlie Axel Woods and finished the event with an overall score of 25 under par. As a result, finished as the runner ups of the event.
