Greg Norman has always been close to Donald Trump. And once, he backed up former POTUS when everyone was going against him. They have known each other for more than a decade and have been there backing each other up. The ‘white shark’ and Trump have played golf together many times. However, their first association goes back to 2012. Their first business was together when the former president brought the Point Lake Golf Club near Charlotte for $US6 million.

Once, the major championship winner attended an exclusive interview with News Corp Australia. There, he appreciated how Trump is the future of free America and how he was re-establishing the country as the leader of all the free nations across the globe. Norman believed that he would protect the freedom and democracy of the nations because he had the flag’s symbols, stars, and stripes running through his veins rather than blood.

In the interview, he also revealed that Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, was fascinated by the former POTUS. He wanted Trump to succeed as President. Norman was close to both, and he arranged a phone call for them. Turnbull was the only second leader to congratulate Trump after his win.

Why did Greg Norman believe in Donald Trump?

After they elected Trump as President in 2016, Norman put more faith in him. According to him, Trump won despite running for election against vehement opposition. However, he said that with every passing day, Trump was getting better. Praising him, he said, “every day, he becomes more presidential.” However, ten days before the election, the great white shark of golf was sure that Trump would win. And indeed, it was true.

The LIV CEO was determined to prove that his friend fulfilled his responsibility. Despite not being accepted by everyone, he established himself as a leader.
