Stephen Curry might not be able to power his team with his three pointers, but he is still playing a part in leading the team to success. Most recently, Curry’s coaching purview had helped the Golden State Warriors pip Houston Rockets on Christmas day.

As per San Fransisco Chronicle, Stephen Curry told assistant coach Bruce Fraser during the third quarter of the game: “The Rockets are switching on high pick-and-rolls. If you have Willie (Cauley-Stein) fake the screen and sprint toward the rim, he should be open.”

Curry’s idea immediately transpired on the floor, and led to the Warriors scoring.

Warriors are, for the first time in the season, enjoying a three-game winning streak. Curry has been a part of the bench in all of the three wins after coming back from rehab. Fraser felt that Curry had a part to play in all those wins.

“It’s no coincidence that we started winning when he got back on that bench,” Fraser said.  “Having him around is that important for us.”

“He talks to everybody and it’s weird for me. Somebody being so good, you expect them to have an ego and you know, kinda keep to themselves but he talks to everyone like they’re on the same level as him. I think that it makes for a good culture around here.”

After their victory against Rockets, Warriors have now won eight games after playing 32 in the season so far. They are still at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 0.250 record.
