Simone Biles’ tough training schedule

To become the best Biles has had to toil extra hard. She trains rigorously for hours to be ready for the Olympics. Biles trains six days a week with Sundays off. She trains twice a day on some days and these generally involve a lot of gym works and routines.

After her breakfast, Biles trains for hours at the gym. Then she has her lunch and later goes again for the training on her routines. Moreover, she also changes her training once in a while. She often likes cross-training. From swimming to cycling Biles enjoys cross-training sessions. Apart from cross-training, Biles also does strength training, circuit training, and endurance training.

“Last year we did cross-training. We swam twice a week—almost a mile! I swore I was going to drown, it was so hard, and then we would run. And the year before that we would bike 10 miles outside once a week. My legs were absolute jello. But it got easier because the cross-training helped,” Biles said.

“When we are both in the gym, it’s like we are in the gym to do our job. But then also it’s like we have the ability to kind of have fun with it,” Chiles said.

Overall Chiles finished third in the Olympic trials whereas Biles finished first. They both will represent USA at the Tokyo Olympics and are prime suspects for bringing gold medals back home.
