The ICC T20 World Cup gets underway in October 2020 and the fans are getting ready for a cricketing festival. The tournament schedule begins from October 18 to November 15 and will be played across seven different venues.

England, with their destructive line up, will definitely be one of the favorites to win the tournament. They have been crowned as the world champion for the first time when they won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in the most dramatic fashion and they will be looking to win a second world Twenty 20 in 2020.

England’s resurgence as a limited overs side has turned them into one of the most dangerous batting unit. With the likes of Jofra Archer being highly influential as a fast bowler, the bowling also looks in an excellent shape.

England’s schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2020-

Winning the World Cup in 2010, they almost won the last edition but for one man. When Ben Stokes was asked to defend 24 runs of the last over, many had already felt England won their second T20 World Cup. But Carlos Brathwaite had other ideas. He finished the seemingly huge number of runs in a matter of four balls. But three years later, Ben Stokes turned things around for England  the 50 over World Cup.

Come 2020, England will be confident of doing well in the Twenty 20 World Cup and back themselves to lift the trophy.

England are placed in Group 2 along with South Africa, Afghanistan and winners of the inaugural edition India. They will be joined by two teams who will qualify from the first round. England play their first match against one of the qualified teams before playing South Africa, India and Afghanistan.
