ICC T20 World Cup 2020: India Schedule

After the ICC World Cup 2019 has done and dusted, fans have geared up for the next big event, that is none other than the ICC T20 World Cup. The seventh edition of the mega event will take place in Australia from October 18 in 2020. The matches will be played in seven different venues in Australia where the final will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The tickets will be on sale from October 8.

Although India are in the first and second place in the Tests and ODI rankings, they are placed at five in the shortest format of the game after Pakistan, England, South Africa and Australia respectively. India are the winner of the inaugural season of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2017 where they beat their arch-rival Pakistan by 5 runs.

It will be interesting to see how India will perform in another big event after their surprising exclusion from the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2019.

India’s schedule for the T20 World Cup 2020:

Being in the top eight teams, India have directly qualified for the ICC World T20. India have placed in Group 2 along with England, South Africa and Afghanistan. India will begin their campaign against South Africa on October 24 at Perth.

India’s next game will be against that who will join them from the First Round. Their third game will be against the 50-over World Cup winner England. Both the games will be played in Melbourne. The fourth one will be against the second team from the First Round which will take place in Adelaide. The final will be against Afghanistan in Sydney on November 8, 2020.
