After the group league games of ICC World Cup 2019 has done and dusted, semi-finals are around the corner and all set to begin from July 9. The first semi-final will be played between India and New Zealand at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. In this crucial moment when Team India would have wanted to concentrate on the upcoming match, there is another thing happened which might distract them. Their key bowler Mohammed Shami has come into limelight once again after sending message to an unknown lady on Instagram.

However, this is not the first time he did this. Last year, his wife Hasan Jahan had labelled allegations on him of extra-marital affairs with several women. She even said that Shami assaulted her physically and even gave threats for more than two years. She had posted several screenshots on social media as well to prove her claims where it was seen that Shami had chatted with multiple women.

However, Mohammed Shami had denied all the allegations. Even the BCCI also backed him at that time. Currently, he has been doing well in the ongoing ICC World Cup but his recent behaviour could leave him in more trouble as a woman, named Sophia claimed that Mohammed Shami has been messaging her on Instagram. She took to Twitter and posted a screenshot where it was showing the sender name of the message is Mohammed Shami.

“anyone wanna tell me why some random cricket player with 1.4m followers keeps messaging me,” wrote Sophia.

However, the Indian team management would expect that this incident does not affect the pacer or any other player right now as India are all set to play against New Zealand on Tuesday. They will try to win so that they can play in the final at Lord’s on Sunday and repeat the history of 1983 and 2011 World Cup.

Shami came into playing XI only after Bhuvneshwar Kumar was injured. He, however, impressed with the ball so far with 14 scalps from 4 games, including two four-wicket hauls against Afghanistan and West Indies and a five-wicket haul against England. Although he was rested in their last group match against Sri Lanka, he is expected to be back in the squad for the important semi-final.
