Interestingly, the first thing Swiatek did after winning the French Open was sleep!. “First thing I did after returning from Paris was probably sleeping because I was really tired and couldn’t sleep like two days after the victory. So I went to sleep and I had a lot of media obligations so I had to deal with that.”

As said before she broke and created a lot of records. Swiatek became the lowest-ranked player to win the French Open. Since 2000, only two players have won the French Open without dropping a set, Justine Henin and Iga Swiatek. En route to her title, she beat four Grand Slam finalists and two Grand Slam winners. Her 4th round triumph over Simona Halep will be remembered as just in 67 minutes Swiatek thrashed the number one seed 6-1, 6-2.
