India vs Sri Lanka 2020: Jasprit Bumrah & Shikhar Dhawan Back in the Squad as Rohit Sharma is Rested

Shikhar Dhawan and Jasprit Bumrah make their comeback into the Indian team after an injury layoff as India announce their squad for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka in January 2020.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad on Monday, which saw the duo get back into the team. Dhawan is expected to take the place of Rohit Sharma in the battng line-up with the vice captain rested for the tour. Another player rested for the tour was fast bowler Mohammed Shami.

India is expected to go in with straight swaps in the plating XI with Bumrah and Dhawan replacing Shami and Rohit Sharma.

Fast bowler Deepak Chahar could cosider himslelf unlucky after an injury, while Navdee Saini keeps his place.

India and Sri Lanka will play three T20Is and three ODIs starting with T20Is on January 5 in Guwhati.
