Injuries Potentially Conclude Andy Murray’s 2020 Season

Due to years of injuries, former World No. 1 Andy Murray has had a significant drop in his rankings. This is the reason he has been depending on wild cards to play various events on the ATP Tour.
On Tuesday, the organizers announced the list of wildcard entrants for the upcoming Rolex Paris Masters. The British star’s name was not on the list. Since this is one of the last events of the season, it may mean that we won’t see Murray play again in 2020.
Technically, the Sofia Open which is an ATP 250 is being played after the Paris Masters. However, Andy has not revealed whether he will travel there to play. Also, he just withdrew from the ATP Cologne event last week due to tendinitis, and he will have to recover before he plays any tennis.

During 2017-19, Andy Murray was sidelined for a large portion of the Tour due to his hip injury. It was hurting him so much that he even considered retirement. Thankfully, he chose not to do that. But unfortunately, he has not been able to return to the top of his game ever since.
Ever since the Tour restarted in August, the British star’s performances have been extremely poor. He lost in the second round of the US Open, and then he lost in the first round of the French Open.
