Novak Djokovic has millions of fans worldwide. Apart from the usual lot, he is admired by some of the greatest of all time. One such name on the list is German legend, Boris Becker. The former world number 1 even had the opportunity to coach Djokovic for three years from 2013 to 2016.
Novak Djokovic was the favorite to win the recently concluded French Open 2020. However, he failed to build any kind of resistance against King of Clay Rafael Nadal.
Recalling the incredible three-year span the duo shared as coach and student, Becker dived into memories of the not so distant past. The former number 1 confessed about their good relationship with each other. However, it was for him to accept that Djokovic once parted ways with him.

Even though their partnership ended back in 2016, love and admiration remain the same for both. In their three years of togetherness, they shared 6 Grand Slam trophies along with 14 ATP Masters 1000 titles. The most memorable victory was definitely the French Open 2016.
Becker has failed to win any Roland Garros tournament in his career, despite reaching the semi-final thrice. Winning the trophy with Djokovic completed the void of his career. For Djokovic, too, the French Open 2016 remains important. It not only completed his career slam but remains the only French Open title he’s won so far in his career.
