Croatia’s Borna Coric has hit back at criticism from Nick Kyrgios for the ill-fated Adria Tour that saw players including Coric test positive for the coronavirus.
Last month, a few top players had taken part in the Adria Tour, which was a charity event organized by Novak Djokovic.
Grigor Dimitrov and Borna Coric were the first ones to return positive test results. Novak Djokovic also tested positive later.

Coric had tweeted last month, saying that he had contracted the coronavirus.
“Hi everyone, I wanted to inform you all that I tested positive for COVID-19. I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during the last few days gets tested! I am really sorry for any harm I might have caused! I’m feeling well and don’t have any symptoms. Please stay safe and healthy! Lots of love to all!” Coric had said.

To this Nick Kyrgios replied, “Boneheaded decision to go ahead with the ‘exhibition’. Speedy recovery fellas, but that’s what happens when you disregard all protocols. This IS NOT A JOKE.”

Coric shows dissent towards criticism from Nick Kyrgios
Coric appeared in an interview recently where he was asked about the tournament and the criticism faced thereafter, particularly from Kyrgios. To which he replied that “it’s just Kyrgios”.
“It’s just him, I have no other explanation. I read what he wrote, but I totally care because he also likes to be a general after the battle. If someone else was reading the lessons, I might have understood, but Kyrgios,” Coric said of the Australian.

“Somehow it’s not realistic. But okay, that’s his style, that’s how it works and I don’t have a problem with that, nor do I mind on a personal level,” he added.
“Zverev acted badly, but I don’t see the need to name fellow players that way. I wouldn’t do that, but again – it’s Kyrgios,” Coric said further.
Kyrgios had also posted a couple more messages through his social media where he called out players who were part of the Adria Tour. He tore into Alexander Zverev who was seen ignoring quarantine protocols later, despite being part of the event.
