With no on-track action for the Japanese Grand Prix 2019 qualifying on Saturday, the drivers can relax. So, rather than sit idle, the drivers have made plans of their own, so that Saturday will not be wasted.
Some like Valtteri Bottas and and Charles Leclerc are all work and no play, preferring to peruse their data. Romain Grosjean will be having a productive day, rebuilding a model of the famous six-wheel Tyrrell.
Sebastian Vettel and Antonio Giovinazzi may catch up on lost sleep and relax, while Lewis Hamilton entertained the thought of heading to Tokyo.

However, a number of other drivers have divided themselves into two factions. Firstly, there is the FIFA group, led by Max Verstappen, who brought his Playstation. He will be joined by Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Nico Hulkenberg, Pierre Gasly and Sergio Perez.
The second faction is the bowling group, Norris may spend some time in a bowling alley. He will be joined by George Russell, Alexander Albon and Daniel Ricciardo.

Going against the flow will be Daniil Kvyat, who will hit the sauna for much-needed pampering. Kevin Magnussen on the other hand, will spend his day snacking, while Perez and Lance Stoll may also take the opportunity to Netflix and chill.

Kvyat would have also liked to play a round of golf, but he may have to hope for an indoor course, especially with Mother Nature’s fury raging in Suzuka. It was also worth noting that in the press conference, Daniel Ricciardo was planning to down some sake bombs.

Whatever, the case, at least the drivers have some alternate plans rather than sit around twiddling their thumbs. However, on Sunday, it will be the real test, as qualifying may be squeezed into the morning. A couple of hours later, the Japanese Grand Prix 2019 will get underway as Mercedes aim to wrap up both titles.
