Poor old Jason Roy is not having a very good ICC Cricket World Cup tournament. The 28-year old had picked up a hamstring injury when England faced the West Indies on the 14th of June. This put him out of action against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka and things were quite positive for him to return against Australia.

Until, his chances took a nosedive recently as his participation looks in serious doubt. The good news is that the batsman did come out to train with the rest of the England squad. He underwent a scan at the Fortius Clinic in London before heading to the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. To the delight of his team, he trained at the nets and even participated in throwdowns to test out his left leg.

However, in spite of the positive vibes, England skipper, Eoin Morgan was quick to avoid complacence.
