John McEnroe Says Rafa and Roger Might Retire After Team World Whips Their As**s

In the pre-tournament press conference of Laver Cup 2019, John McEnroe was asked about the cut-throat Grand Slam roll competition between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and who will end up with more number of major titles.

The American legend, John McEnroe jest about the tennis rivals and gave a statement that they might set aside their racquets after the Laver Cup 2019. 

“I don’t know,” John McEnroe said. “And I’m sure anyone in the podium could answer. Why don’t we discuss that in a year or two? That will be a much better idea. We’ll know that their career has ended. At some point they are going to stop, I think. Maybe, after his weekend, they may just call it a day when we whip their asses. I wouldn’t that be incredible. That will be a surprising story so. We’d like to be part of that.

Despite, Rafa’s fatigue issues from US Open 2019, Roger feels that his teammate is pumped up for the Laver Cup 2019. “He couldn’t be more pumped up for this event,” Federer said. “He just won the US Open. It would have been so easy for him to say, “Look, I need a break. But he said, “No, my break’s coming afterwards. I push it all aside, and I’m doing this because I really believe in the concept of the Laver Cup.”

They previously shared the court during the Laver Cup event in Prague. The ‘Fedal’ doubles enthralled the tennis fans worldwide. The audience is once again keen to see the reprise of their romance on the Geneva court.

The Laver Cup 2019 will begin on September 20, and Roger Federer will team up with Rafael Nadal, and along with those two tennis greats  Dominic ThiemAlexander ZverevStefanos Tsitsipasand Fabio Fognini will play for Team Europe. Bjorn Borg will be leading their team.

Team World will feature Nick Kyrgios, John Isner, Milos Raonic, John Sock, Denis Shapovalov, and Taylor Fritz. They will be led by John McEnroe.
