Juan Manuel Correa Update: Woke Up From Medically Induced Coma, But in a Race Against Time

Ever since that fateful accident that claimed the life of Anthoine Hubert and put Juan Manuel Correa in hospital, the latter has been on the mend. Now, there are some positive signs from his family with regard to his health.

The statement said, “As of today, Juan Manuel Correa has been removed from the ECMO machine, life support and taken out of induced coma. While this is great news and a major step in the right direction, he is still in a race against time.”

Furthermore, Correa is reportedly conscious, though he has yet to fully awaken from his induced coma. According to the doctors’ reports, Juan Manuel Correa is fragile and still vulnerable. As a result, he remains confined in the Intensive Care Unit while his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.

How, the next stage of Correa’s recovery now shifts from his lungs to his leg injuries. So far, his broken legs have not been touched since the initial emergency intervention on the day of the frightening incident.

Now, doctors are in a race against time to perform a pending major surgery on the Ecuadorean-American Alfa Romeo junior driver. Their priority is to minimize the risk of irreversible injuries to his right lower extremity. However, they could not proceed with the operation until his lungs were ready to withstand a lengthy procedure.

Correa was also made aware of the tragic consequences that the accident involving him, had. His family even expressed their condolences to the family of the late Anthoine Hubert. Now, it is not known how long Juan Manuel Correa will take to get back into a racing car, but he is surely working towards it.

Even now, everybody in the racing community are praying for Correa’s speedy recovery and urging him to win one of his biggest and fiercest battles.
