Vallverdu also praised the Czech and said: “Karolina is a great player and I look forward to helping her achieve her goals with my work. WTA is something new to me, but I like challenges.”

While it will be Vallverdu’s first experience to coach a WTA player, the Venezuelan coach has worked with Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Juan Martin Del Potro, and Grigor Dimitrov in the past. He has also worked with the then top Czech player – Tomas Berdych, but couldn’t help him to win a grand slam title.
