The South African tennis giant Kevin Anderson, has revealed that he is eager to win the grand slam titles before his career ends. Anderson, who has in recent times been a formidable force on the tour, said that he has an idea about how much of an uphill task it really is to win he big tournaments.

“As a team, we’ll look for ways to improve,” Kevin Anderson said. “I’d only really know afterwards if my career would be complete only with a Slam”, he continued.“I understand the difficulties”, he added. “The challenge now is knowing that in order to win those tournaments, you’re going to have to beat a handful of guys who’ve had so much experience of that.”

Anderson also spoke about a good year this season, as he made a name for himself at the ATP World Tour Finals in London, also reaching a career high ranking in the ATP singles rankings. “Hopefully more Masters Series finals, hopefully hoisting one of those”, said Anderson, speaking on his goals. “They’re ambitious goals, but well within my ability, I’ve proven that to myself”, he said.

“Finishing the year at my career-best ranking, there’s been a lot of positives for me to take from the year. I’m going to do everything I can to put myself in the best position”, said Kevin Anderson.“If I finish my career without hoisting one of those, a Grand Slam trophy or a Masters Series, it will be tough in some ways, but I’m going to do what I can and more than that, I can’t really do”, he said. “That’s (winning a Grand Slam) the real challenge, ultimately.”

Anderson will head into an off-season break, for a few weeks and is expected to feature at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, alongside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic and other big names.
