In the latest NBA trade buzz, Damian Lillard could be out of Portland Trail Blazers. Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes was heard talking in the Habershow Podcast where he said that the Trail Balzers currently aren’t on a level to Lillard’s liking.

“There will be a move made for sure, it’s hard to, for me to believe that Hassan Whiteside and Kent Bazemore will still be there past the trade deadline. A move will be made,” he said.

“Look this is Dame’s spot, he just signed his supermax this past summer, you know, he didn’t sign up to be on a team like this. nobody thought this is going to be the team but you know, he didn’t sign up for this. So this front office, it’s their call now, it’s their play.”

Lillard, 29, is currently considered to be in his prime, and it does not seem as if he would meet his ambitions soon playing for Portland Trail Blazers.

The Trail Blazers are currently 10th in the Western Conference with a win-loss record of 16-22. The team’s start looked even worse, but have started looking better since signing Carmelo Anthony.

However, their chances of making it to the play-offs still look slim and it will not be far from an enticing prospect for Lillard to stay under such circumstances.

Damian Lillard on a supermax deal

Before the start of the season, Lillard was currently under a contract that was signed in 2015 and will run through till the end of the 2020-21 season. Later, the Trail Blazers and Lillard agreed on a four-year $196 million supermax deal.
