Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles.

Preview-

Both Celtics and Clippers will be coming into the game with a win on Monday.

Celtics are currently on top of the Eastern Conference. Only six teams in the NBA have allowed fewer points per game than Celtics so far this season. And for three games, they have conceded less 100 points.

After losing Kyrie Irving to Brooklyn in the preseason, the Celtics seemed to have found a decent replacement Kemba Walker. Walker is currently averaging 23.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and, 5.0 assists per game. and scored scored 19 points in the last game’s win against the Suns.

As for the Clippers, they still wait on the partnership of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to begin. George has been averaging 29.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, after three games into the season. His comeback from shoulder injury did not seem to take much time as he is already racking up points. He was also influential with his all-round performance in the last game’s win against his former team, where he scored a three pointer in the final few seconds to seal the game. The Clippers will be looking at him, and Leonard if he is back from his knee contusion.

Injury updates & team news-

Patrick Beverley, who was injured, had returned for the previous game, but Kawhi Leonard is still questionable and there are no confirmed reports of whether he’ll be playing against the Celtics.

Marcus Smart, who played 30 minutes against the Suns, might not be fully fit as he is listed as probable for the Clippers game. Romeo Langford is another player listed as day-to-day for the Celtics. Earlier this month, Gordon Hayward was expected to miss six weeks for a surgery and he remains out.

Predictions-

It would be a good test for both teams and it will be interesting to see who will stand up to it. The Celtics, if they keep up their defensive work the way they have been doing so far this season, might just be able to get past the Clippers.
