Venue: Staples Center, Los Angeles

Preview-

The Clippers were riding high on the back of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, and were on a seven game winning streak. The streak ended after a disappointing 107-91 defeat on Friday against San Antonio Spurs. Coming into Sunday’s game, Clippers sit third in the Western Conference with a win-loss record of 14-6. They will be eyeing a 15th victory against a struggling Wizards side.

The Wizards have been, in fact, the second best side in the league offensively in terms of points scored per game, averaging 118.5 points per game. But it hardly led them to something as it was nullified by their worst defence in the league. The Wizards will be playing their second consecutive game at the Staples centre after a loss in the 125-103 loss against the Lakers. The loss took their win-loss record in the season to 6-11, and sit tenth in the Eastern Conference.

Paul George started life in his new team in a blistering fashion, but has seen a slight dip in the last few games. In the last game’s loss against the Spurs, George returned a career low five points. However, a player of his quality is expected to get back quickly. Even though, he along with Kawhi are the main men for the Wizards to target, the Washington team cannot take others lightly, with the likes of Montrezl Harell and Pat Beverley giving consistent support.

For the Wizards, Bradley Beal is averaging 28.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game and will be a crucial link in the line up. However, he alone might not be enough to stop star-studded Clippers from getting their 15th win of the season.
