The US Open final exceeded all our expectations with some nail-biting action. It had thrill, drama, intensity, and of course, a phenomenal comeback. It almost felt cruel to not hand over the title to both the players. After sweeping the first 2 sets 6-2, 6-4, Alexander Zverev proved he was no underdog. However, Dominic Thiem stood tall at the end, winning the remaining 3 sets 6-4, 6-3, and 7(8)-6.

While the tennis world was full of praise for Dominic Thiem for winning his maiden Grand Slam, both fans and critics were overwhelmed by Zverev’s extraordinary performance. Who thought that the 23-year-old German would exhibit such a high level of courage and determination. He has received appreciation from throughout the world.

German Tennis player and his elder brother, Mischa Zverev, was the latest big name to congratulate him. “I knew you are special.”-wrote a cheerful Mischa on Instagram.

“Since the day you were born, I always looked up to you, no matter our age,”-continued the proud Mischa.

Mischa is 10 years older than Alexander Zverev. But, he applauded his efforts and admitted that he learned many things about the sport from his younger brother.

Zverev lost the game but certainly won many hearts. His temperament and relentless attitude at such a young age is certainly a model to behold. Mischa was right when he said that even if not for that day, Sascha is meant to win titles. The German has a bright future ahead and fans hope that he continues his impressive form.
