The first lap was a complete disaster for Sebastian Vettel who got out for the third time this year on the first lap, this time with a broken suspension after hitting Nico Rosberg. Rosberg held the door wide open and when he began closing it, Vettel locked up and T-boned Rosberg who spun and narrowly missing out on Verstappen.

Honestly, Sebastian is getting extremely frustrated with his Ferrari package for which he is attempting such desperate moves to move up the order. It is pretty unfortunate that the mighty four time world champion is having a string of poor form backed by a mediocre Ferrari package to make things worse.

The big story of the race has to be Lewis Hamilton’s big engine blowout on lap 40 after comfortably leading in the front. Hamilton let out a huge ‘Oh no no’ on the team radio thus signifying how much of an impact this DNF will have on his chances of claiming a fourth world championship. Rosberg ended up taking a 23 point lead post the Malaysian Grand Prix, which would have otherwise led to Hamilton taking the lead if not for the engine blowout.
A major setback for him, undoubtedly.

After Belgium 2014, Daniel Ricciardo finally stepped on the top stand of the podium after being robbed of a victory earlier in Monaco and then in Spain. But this time he made most of the misfortunes of Lewis and claimed a stunning victory after managing to defend the young and bold Max Verstappen first on lap 39 and then in the final stint with soft tires. It was a hard fought victory for him none the less despite Lewis’ engine failure.
And with the Aussie’s victory returned his infamous celebration style dubbed the ‘Shoey’ now where he drank from his sweaty racing boots. Not only this, he made everyone on the podium drink from his boot too!
You can just not hate Ricciardo.

Lewis’ comments drew a lot of attention when he mentioned that ‘something or someone doesn’t want me to win.’, hinting that there were tensions within the team and Lewis felt that his car was sabotaged by his team. Though he later clarified that he was refering to the Almighty in this case, but his statements proved to be enough to draw the attention to a possible conspiracy theory that circled around everywhere and enough to drive the Hamilton fanboys crazy.
