Mercedes Driver Valtteri Bottas Arrives at the FIA Gala in Style

The FIA end of season Gala recently took place to celebrate the winners of the 2019 Season. Newly-crowned 6-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton was present in Paris to collect his trophy. However, one of the highlights was Valtteri Bottas, who drove the Mercedes W10 onto the stage.

Aside from Bottas, Red Bull star, Max Verstappen was also in attendance, both to collect their prize for finishing second and third respectively in the championship.

Speaking about his emotions after winning the title, Lewis Hamilton confessed that it was the best season of his life. The Briton discloses that he truly enjoyed partnering with Mercedes for the past 7 years. He gushed that he was really happy to battle with Valtteri Bottas and a lot of up-and-coming drivers like Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen.

Meanwhile, once the ceremony is over, Valtteri Bottas will be taking part in a rally race. He admitted that he wanted to get comfortable with the car and hone his skills in the off season.

He said, “Our season is finished on Sunday evening so I thought it would be nice to have some fun, race without any pressure.”

“I enjoy rallying, I find it lots of fun. And it’s on Tarmac as well and part of it’s on the track so it could be pretty suitable for me. And I see it as a rally as also with quite low-risk in terms of the safety and everything.”

“So it seems like a nice event. So should be good fun and a good way to start the holidays.”

Bottas trotted off to the Circuit Paul Ricard, where the rally is being held, after celebrating Mercedes’ latest successful season. He revealed that he wanted to participate in the event without the stress of a Formula One season looming.
