Alex Rodriguez will remain a huge part of the New York Yankees. Earlier in 2004, when A-Rod signed for the Pinstripes, he brought new energy to the Bronx, especially during the Yankees-Red Sox game. Before coming to the Yankees, he was already a champion player. But the former MLB star wrote new chapters in the game while playing for the Pinstripes.
Earlier in 2018, the former Boston Red Sox slugger and MLB Hall of Famer, David Ortiz, opened up about his relationship with the Yankees legend. Not to forget that the Yankees and Red Sox share a century-year-old rivalry in sports. And while playing for their respective team once, A-Rod and Ortiz were rivals in the ballpark, too.

However, the current scenario is not the same anymore. Ever since the two retired from the game, they have been like the best buddies in the town. Despite being rivals for so many years, Alex Rodriguez and Ortiz share a great relationship between them.
When David Ortiz heaped praises on Alex Rodriguez
When Alex Rodriguez retired from the game in 2016, he worked as a guest analyst for Fox Sports. And sometimes, Ortiz also accompanied him on the show. Given they played years as rivals, it was interesting for baseball fans to watch the two laugh together.
Later in 2018, in an exclusive interview with The Postgame, Ortiz opened up about his relationship and said he had good chemistry with A-Rod while doing the show together.

The Red Sox legend also praised A-Rod for his sheer professionalism. And expressed how glad he was to be part of the show with A-Rod.
“Last year, basically, was my second year on set, and the first time I did it, A-Rod wasn’t there, but A-Rod was there for a couple of years before I joined and he’s very professional, man. He’s very serious about what he does. And I’m glad to be part of it,” Ortiz added.
