Aaron Judge is having a dream run in the ongoing MLB season. There are still over 50 games to play, and the Yankees slugger is already the favorite to win the American League MVP. If things do not go south, then Judge has a golden chance to become a Yankee with the most home run in a season.
Be it from the plate or in the clubhouse, Aaron Judge has been an exceptional player for the Pinstripes this season. Judge might not be the official captain, but he is no less than a leader for the Yankees squad. Such is the influence he has in the clubhouse.

However, knowing that Judge will be a free agent by the end of the 2022 MLB season, the Yankees are trying their best to keep the talisman in the Bronx. Earlier this season, the Yankees and Judge even went to court regarding the arbitration year’s salary. Meanwhile, a former Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, forecasted this problem long before anyone can think of it.
Alex Rodriguez predicted Aaron Judge and the Yankees will have trouble in the future
It is no secret that Aaron Judge rejected a long-term extension proposal from the Yankees in the free agency. Instead, the Yankees star preferred to become a free agent and listening offers from various franchises.
If the Yankees do not want to lose a player as good as Aaron Judge, he will not come cheap. And given his current form, the negotiation will not be easy. This is the current situation between the Yankees and Judge. But A-Rod already knew that at some point in time, it would happen.
