As Jeter picks up the phone, he greets Jack with a casual “Jack, how are you?” But Jack’s response is far from casual, as he delivers the news that will change Jeter’s life forever: “I’m doing well and you’re going to be doing well in about two seconds – baseball writers elected you to the Hall of Fame. Congratulations.”
