Talking about Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone shed light on the severity of the injury. Notably, on Tuesday, Boone had said that Stanton has a strain on his calf. But seems like his calf is fine, per Boone’s recent statement.

After this series victory against the Orioles, Boone provided injury updates on his players. On Stanton, Boone said he does not have a calf strain. However, the Yankees slugger will still miss at least ten days of league games.
The Yankees put Giancarlo Stanton on a 10-day injured list
Everything was going fine for the New York Yankees in the 2022 season until their recent series against the Baltimore Orioles. Though the Pinstripes won the series, they will miss their star player because of a serious injury.
Even if Giancarlo Stanton does not have a calf strain, the Yankees have put him on a 10-day injured list. The reason? Per the Yankees skipper, Stanton has got some ankle inflammation. And if things go right, he will make his comeback in ten days.

Aaron Boone says they don’t want Giancarlo Stanton to further aggravate the ankle soreness, and hopes he’ll only need 10 days on the IL.

“He doesn’t have a calf strain, actually. He’s just got some ankle inflammation,” Boone said to YES Network. “So, feels like we got good news. Achilles is fine and has no strain. Just feels like this is something that is going to be short, but feels like we should knock it out and not mess with it. Maybe it becomes something else. So hopefully he got out in front of a little and hopefully, it is just ten days and he will be back.”

The Yankees overcome the Orioles
After losing the first game of the series, it seemed the Yankees would lose another series to the Orioles. Notably, apart from the Chicago White Sox, the Orioles are the only team to defeat the Pinstripes in a series this season.

But the Aaron Judge-led team did not let that happen and made a strong comeback in the remaining two games. Not only did they win the last two games, but the Yankees also clinched the series against the Orioles.
